MLM Marketing is a marketing structure that is used by some companies. The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by paying promoters for both the sales of the companies products they make and for new distributors they bring into the business that will go on to promote the companies product as well.

Anyone who joins the MLM business and promotes the product is known as a distributor, they do not earn a salary but instead they are awarded a commission dependant on how many sales they make themselves and the sales of their down line. The process is similar to a franchise.

A downline is the people that have bought into the company via you. You will get paid for them joining and earn a percentage of any future sales they make.

So here’s a few examples of MLM businesses; Quick and easy to get set up, Can start straight away if you like, if you join near the top of the MLM business line you can stand to make a lot of money by building a large downline and earning lots of commissions.

Here are the Disadvantages of MLM; Methods of selling are outdated, this is because most MLM models encourage you to sell to your firends and family, pick up the phone and tell people about your product. These aren’t exactly cutting edge and many people will not be interested in sales calls! Another disadvantage is if you join near the bottom of the line most of the market will be saturated and you’re competing with experienced marketers. Now you will not be able to compete with these as nearly all MLM’s do not provide training on Internet Marketing.

So overall I think MLM’s are outdated as the marketing techniques they teach are no longer effective. Nearly every MLM will not provide you with the real training you need on Internet Marketing if you are to make money online and set up a successful home business.

Now there of course there are people making money from MLM’s and I’m not by any means trying to say they cannot make you money, but there is a very high failure rate as there’s a lack of training and support!

One of the main reasons people join an MLM is because of the lifestyle that is portrayed however at the beginning you will spend most of your time calling people on the phone and more often than not getting negative responses. This doesn’t sound like fun to me!

However if you still think MLM is the way to go make sure you join near the top of a line otherwise the market will be saturated and you will most likely not make many sales.

Cash Gifting – Run Away With Your Wallet Kept Shut

Cash Gifting is the weirdest and most stupid thing I have seen become popular on the Internet. The whole system is flawed.

So the idea behind cash gifting is that by giving money to each other some how we end up with more than we started, ermm well that doesn’t make sense! If everybody is giving everybody else the same amount then we’d end up with the same amount! That’s correct but isn’t what happens, what does happen is the “founder” of the company (that will be around no longer than a couple of months) starts the idea so more and more people give them the cash and he creates a downline. And in order for the downline to sell the “opportunity” they learn basic skills on getting traffic on the Internet.

What happens then is that the business will run out of money, this is because only so many people will believe in the idea of cash gifting. So then what happens to the people that join near the bottom of the downline, well they never make their money back! If you do not believe me go to YouTube and you will see loads of videos from people that have lost their money with these cash gifting scams.

If you really want to drive traffic to a site you can buy an ebook on how to for around 40, seems a lot cheaper than $10,000 to me! However this time you actually have a product on the website that will benefit someone rather than a false opportunity.

Here’s another flaw in the system, why do you have to send cash? Wouldn’t a cheque make sense because if for whatever reason the package goes missing you can always cancel it.

What if your “sponsor” says the next day that the package didn’t have any money in it!? There’s no proof it was, so it would be your word against theirs. Fed Ex do not provide compensation for actual money so you will be in a tricky situation!

So Cash Gifting is good for people that set up the “business” or are at the top of the downline as they can make (receive) a lot of money from people that are looking for a way to earn more money themselves!

On the other hand nearly all people will pay their money and never receive anything in return! Please make sure you are not oen of those people! I have read a couple of peoples articles promoting cash gifting where they say you do not have to do a lot of work or have knowledge to receive a cash gift! So what does that mean you just sit around and a package comes to your door with thousands of dollars in it!?

I want to make it clear, cash gifting is NOT a business opportunity!

One of the major factors in becoming a successful home business owner is to surround yourself with other like minded individuals that share the same ambitions and goals. You want to be part of a team that is willing to help you and share their knowledge. Then in return you too can do the same for them.

In the Internet Marketing Industry this is especially important as no one person can know it all…fact! There is just far too many techniques and information to know as well as the fact that the internet is developing each day. By becoming part of a supporting team you can share your knowledge and this will enable you to develop skills quicker rather than trawling through loads of articles,videos etc to only learn one or two key points!

Here’s an example of how teamwork can really progress your business far quicker than going it alone; you’re trying to use as many ways to promote your business/product as possible but there’s one problem…you are hopeless at article writing, now without a team you will either spend hours with writers block struggling and may have to miss out article marketing all together. However within a team you can ask and find people that are really good at article marketing, they could then teach you techniques on how to write articles effectively or maybe even write some articles for you and in return you can help them out on another Internet Marketing technique you’re particularly strong on such as Pay Per Click Advertising etc.

You can set up your team members social networking sites and show them how to target people that will be interested in their product and they in return can write you 10 articles. There you have it, rather than spending hours and hours struggling to write articles when you are not comfortable doing so your team member is writing high quality articles for you! How beneficial is that!

So after you have seen a business you are interested in, make sure you research other members of the team and that there is a healthy amount of support around.

If you see a potential mentor that is very successful in Internet Marketing then great but do not rush into things, do your research. Just because the guy has made a lot of money himself and drives a Porsche does not mean he will be the best mentor as he may be too busy making himself money to give you the time and support you need. Make sure there will be plenty of support!

A lack of support from a mentor or no team is the key reason why so many people fail in the Internet Marketing Indsutry! They buy into an opportunity because of the claims of wealth an Internet Marketing business can bring but then never receive any support; they then fail to progress their business and therefore lose belief and eventually give up!

Unfortunately there are some pathetic people out there that sell hype products that are a waste of time, but for the majority that fail it’s down to themselves and not the product/opportunity. If they had the support they would have been more motivated and spurred on, therefore they would have stuck at it and inevitably made money online with Internet Marketing.

Video marketing is one of the most popular Internet Marketing techniques and has become massively popular within the past couple of years. This is mainly down to the surge of videos appearing on the internet (YouTube).

The main reason it is so popular and profitable is because it is the next best thing to meeting your prospect/viewer face to face. Video enables you to connect to people all around the world and is a great way to build relationships.

You HAVE to be yourself when you are making a video. Do not “act” by pretending to be somebody you’re not, this “act” will eventually drop and people will notice. If you want to build a list and become successful at Internet Marketing you have to give valuable information. Otherwise why would anyone join your list in order to hear more from you.

Unfortunately nowadays there are so many people/businesses that simply spam and try to con people out of their money! This has caused nearly everyone being sceptical when it comes to buying into business opportunities or products over the internet.

If you want to become successful at Internet Marketing and make serious money online you have to find a way of driving targeted traffic to your website.

So this brings me on to Pay Per Click advertising which is one of the most popular methods to drive targeted traffic to your website. In this article I am going to give a simple breakdown of exactly what it is and some useful tips to make sure you don’t end up wasting your marketing budget.

A Pay Per Click (PPC for short) campaign is where you pay a certain amount of money every time someone clicks on your adverts. There are a number of types of PPC adverts but the most common are the links (normally on the right hand side) of search engine results. For example every time you do a Google search you will see adverts on the right hand side, these are Pay Per Click adverts.

Pay Per Click ad campaigns can be very cost effective; this is because you only pay when your ad is clicked on, this means if a person has clicked on your ad they must be interested in your offer. Therefore only targeted traffic should click on your ad; but say you do get your market terribly wrong it doesn’t have to cost you a bomb because people that are not interested in your offer will not likely click on your ad so you will not spend any money.

However as with anything there is a “but”. If you do your click rate will become higher ($2-4 a click) as there’s a lot of competition. Therefore if your site is not a high converting one you will be charged for viewers visiting your site but then you will not get anything in return because they do not submit their details meaning you will not build a list and not make much money.

When running PPC adverts you will need to increase the effectiveness of your ads. The best method of doing this is creating a number of different ads and run them alongside each other (split testing). Then you can analyse each site and see which of the two was the highest converting, in future you will want to use the higher converting site.

Here are a number of different elements you can change around to enable you to find out which layout/desgin works best, this gives you a high converting site. Change the headline of your advert and site by making one positive and the other negative. For example; “Make Tonnes Of Money Here For Free” which is a positive headline or use “Don’t Be A Sucker And Go Anywhere Else For Internet Marketing Techniques” which is a negative headline. You can also consider changing the layout of your site, changing the style and size of font, length of text, with or without video and picture etc.

When you have found out which ads are the worst converting discard them and stick with the one you know is/are the highest converting. This will make your PPC ads cost effective as a large percentage of people that click on your ad will submit their details to you. This will build your list and inevitably make you money if you advertise to your list effectively. Keep your costs low and profits high…simple!

Another tip to making your PPC ads cost effective is by the use of Keywords. As mentioned before the more popular the keyword/niche you target the more it will cost you. Therefore when you first start out using PPC ads it’s a good idea to pick a smaller niche within your market. A way to find out smaller niches within your industry is to type your keyword “Internet Marketing” into Google Keywords and it will give you other popular keywords that you can target.

A very large majority of people that enter the world of Internet Marketing fail; I will share with you the main reason behind this and how you can avoid failure by building a list you can sell to.

People tend to fail because they are new to Internet Marketing and have only learnt the Internet Marketing basic techniques, not how to present themselves and how to sell. This leads to them using in your face tactics which put people off from buying from them as they come across as a spammer.

To be successful in anything in life (not just Internet Marketing) you have to have the right mindset. Any successful person out there you see on TV such as sportman or actors have the right mindset. The below information is NOT some get rich quick scheme, instead it is information that has enabled me to become a successful entrepreneur and can do the same for YOU.

1) Belief – Believe in yourself 100%. If you do not believe in yourself then who will believe in your product or whatever you are promoting. Say out aloud that you WILL achieve success and your sub conscious will take note of this. Soon it will be second nature to believe in yourself.

2) Desire – You have to have a burning hunger to achieve whatever your goals are no matter what stands in your way. That DESIRE will drive you where others can’t go (the 97% of people). The human mind can produce amazing results when you are determined, every successful person, entrepreneur had a burning desire to be a success – a lump of cash didn’t just fall out of the sky!

3) Persistence – This ties in with desire. Desiring something to the extent you cannot see yourself living without it will make you persist. The reason why so many people fail in Internet Marketing is because they fall at the first hurdle, however if you persist at some point you WILL achieve success.

4) Passion – Be passionate about what you do. Internet Marketing can provide you with a really good lifestyle so be passionate about that; this will make you put the effort in and get you excited about your work. Your mind will come up with new ideas that will help your business if you are excited by it.

5) Planning – Internet Marketing is all about using your time efficiently. You have to have direction in where you are going to take your business so each day draw out what you want to achieve. Also give yourself a monthly plan and yearly plan. It doesn’t have to be exact but just an idea of where you want your business and yourself to be in a years time.

6) Team – Even the most successful people have a team supporting them. You must surround yourself with a team of people that share your vision and the ambition to reach your goals. You can share your knowledge with each other and can all benefit by this as you can learn from others that are stronger in one field that you’re not and vice versa. This is so important in internet home business because there is so much to learn, a perfect example of having a team is the Turn-Key Marketing Group.

7) Goals and Vision – Set yourself clear goals, this way your mind can work towards achieving these goals. It doesn’t just have to be a personal goal, if you’re in a team you can set a team goal and all work together to achieve it. With Internet Marketing if there are 10 people promoting a product/business opportunity rather than just one person the product will become more widely known and recognized.
Decision making – Make important decisions and act upon them. If you see an opportunity take ACTION. So many people out there do not take opportunitues; if you want to be successful you will have to take them! Succesful Internet Marketing entrepreneurs didn’t just wake up to a pile of cash, they saw an opportunity and actioned it!

Now I’m not saying you have to spend all your money on a home business opportunity but if one presents itself TAKE it! Of course make sure the business if legitimate but if it is take action and go for it!

9) Positivity – The most important factor is positivity! Positive attitude is the foundation of a successful home business. Go into the online world without it and you are certain to fail. You have to stay positive through the bad times as well as good. When you start reaching your success you will believe even more is achievable and this will become an endless cycle of more success = more belief. This is the reason the rich get richer and the poor get poorer because on the other scale for the poor the less success they reach= even less belief in themselves.

If you really go out and create a positive mindset you will be a SUCCESS!
