One of the keys to selecting the best business opportunities is first selecting the best niches. Two of the main challenges of the Internet is its expansive reach, and lack of credibility. Now take a close look at your product or service. As mentioned earlier, it is best that you engage in a segment which you are familiar, or at least have a strong interest in becoming familiar. Once you have identified your area of interest, try to narrow it down even further into a more targeted niche. For instance, if your product or service is directed towards coffee drinkers, you should narrow your niche down to coffees from a specific area of the world. Take steps to narrow this niche as much as you can, but do not throw out your market in the process.

Once you have contracted your niche as much as feasible, analyse relevant keywords. Go to the search engines, and see how many sites are competing to rank for this keyword. Once you have taken this step, type in “Google Adwords: Keyword Tool” into Google. This will enable you to type in the keyword, and see how many people are searching for it each month. If you find that the search volume is high, and the competition is low, then you have identified a good niche.

Now that you have identified your niche market, and relevant keywords, you have to make your website relevant to these keywords. One of the most important factors in making your website relevant is ensuring that they keywords are in the title tag. Make sure that the keywords are towards the beginning of the title tag, and try and mix in some common words towards the end. Make sure that each of your webpages include no more than two keyword or key phrases. Taking these steps will enable your website to perform better in the search engines.

Choosing a niche for your business opportunities will help your website stand out, and limit the competition. Find one with plenty of potential customers and little competition, and you have a very good chance of watching your business grow.
