Video marketing is one of the most popular Internet Marketing techniques and has become massively popular within the past couple of years. This is mainly down to the surge of videos appearing on the internet (YouTube).
The main reason it is so popular and profitable is because it is the next best thing to meeting your prospect/viewer face to face. Video enables you to connect to people all around the world and is a great way to build relationships.
You HAVE to be yourself when you are making a video. Do not “act” by pretending to be somebody you’re not, this “act” will eventually drop and people will notice. Of course take pride in your appearance but if you normally wear casual clothes don’t shoot a video in a suit etc. People will warm to the fact that you are an actual human being with a genuine product/business opportuity rather than some robot spammer! Add personal stories so people can relate to you as well, they are more than likely in the position you were before you started Internet Marketing so want to hear your story; it will inspire them and they’ll want to hear more from you!
Picture the viewer you are sending the message in your video to and keep eye contact with the camera constantly, do not look around or at the floor. Think about what the viewer is likely to be feeling when they watch your video and try to connect with them on some level.
A really important thing to remember when on camera is to have presence, deliver your message with knowledge and power. People are looking for leaders, they want to look up to you so be confident and provide the viewer with great content about your business. This will make you look knowledgeable and give you authority which is a major factor in why people will buy from you.
Give somebody a call to action at the end of your video; this could point them in the direction of your website or contact details. If you have delivered a great video with a great message most people will want to get in contact or hear more from you so make it easy for them.
So the main things to consider when video marketing are: Be yourself, Connect with the viewer, Have authority/presence, Give good content and have a call to action and the end of your video so you can build you list.
If you do this people are more than likely to see you as a leader, they’ll then join your list and inevitably go into business or buy from you. This is simple but I see so many Internet Marketers out there that do not execute these techniques; make sure you do and you can use video marketing to your advantage.
